My sweet little girl had her dance recital back on Mother’s Day…I know, I know…can’t believe that I’m just now posting this? Yeah, me either. I somehow managed to get really behind in May…but this week is catch up week, so be looking for a couple more posts to go up this week alone.
I debated on whether to even post these pics since they are so last month, but as I looked at her sweet face, I had to share. As always, I took some images of her and one of her best friends before the recital. You can tell that we had such great backgrounds to work with! I’m being facetious. We had planned to take these pics outside but as Texas weather would have it, it did not cooperate with us…so we had to do what we could to get a few images of these beautiful girls.
Now, I must tell you that these pictures look very much like their pictures from their last year’s recital. Their costumes were almost the same thing. They were the exact same color, so we were a bit disappointed that the look is so similar. But what’s a mom to do. The outfit doesn’t matter on these girls as they are princesses in anything they put on!
One of the highlights for Ella was that her Daddy brought her flowers. She loved getting her very own roses.
What was different this year was that at the recital, they actually knew their dance this year and did it. It was so fun to watch. They have both grown so much over the year and have really loved to dance. We will continue in the Fall…so let’s hope that next year, their costumes are different and improved.
