April Williams Photography bio picture
  • Welcome

My name is April Williams and I am based in the North Dallas, Texas area...Go COWBOYS! Yes, I am a die-hard Cowboys fan. I have 3 wonderful children. I have had a passion for photography for most of my life and have thoroughly enjoyed it as a profession.  It has been so fulfilling to work with my clients and truly being able to Capture Today's Moments for Tomorrow's Memories.

I love being able to capture the various personalities that I am privileged to work with. My style is to capture your heart when you sit down to view your gallery. I am very relaxed on a shoot capturing not only a few posed images, but mostly candid, fun images.

I would love for you to leave me a comment as every photographer thrives on hearing about their work. Have a wonderful day and I look forward to working with you.

The Lovely Lacy….

Back in May, I had the privilege of traveling to Malibu, Cali to work with one of the best Fine Art Photographers along with 3 amazing women who happen to be some of my closest and dearest friends. Exciting things are going to come from this trip in the future…can’t wait to be able to share them…but for now, all I can share are some of the images I captured while there. Lacy was a fantastic model as you can clearly see. Love everything about her!!!!

Happy Birthday to my Princess!!!!

My sweet girl turned 5 today!!!! She is such a big girl. She has been waiting for this day for a long time. I took a couple of quick snap shots of her today…hopefully I’ll get to doing a full shoot of her for her 5th sometime soon….but for now, I just had to tell the world how very proud of this little girl that I am. I know that I say this all the time, but she truly has the most joyful heart I have ever seen. I do pray that she will always have this attribute. She brings so many smiles to everyone she meets. It’s rare that I have her out with me that someone doesn’t stop me and comment on her personality and her happiness/joy. I will watch people pass by us and if they catch a glimpse of her out of the corner of their eye, they always smile. As a mother, that’s such a great compliment.

We spent most of the day today, just me and her at the American Girl Doll Store. She was so excited that she finally got her big doll from there!!! Now to keep this pretty little doll’s hair all tame and nice….I think this doll’s hair will be harder to care for than my own!! LOL…BUT it is worth how much joy it brought her and knowing just how much she will play with her new baby. She will spend hours in her room playing with her babies, so I know that she is excited to cook for, bathe, change clothes, and help this baby nap. We then followed up our trip to the American Doll Store with a Vanilla Shake…such a perfect snack on your birthday don’t you think? I’m pretty sure she will sleep well tonight as we still have dinner plans with the rest of the family!! Wait…Mommy will sleep well tonight.

Sweet Ella I LOVE you dearly. You are definitely a light in our world. Happy Birthday sweetheart. You will always be my little girl and my little lady snuggle buggles!!!

Keisha and Kevin–May 29, 2011

I have loved this couple since I first met them at a Starbucks off of 75 last Fall. If you remember their engagement session, we had a little fun on the basketball court before going to the trolley in downtown Dallas. For those of you that know me, you know that I clicked with this sweet couple based on sports alone! I think our initial consultation consisted of about 3/4 sports talk and then 1/4 wedding talk!! LOL Anyway, this is the PERFECT couple to get a blog posting following the MAVS amazing win last night since they are HUGE sports fans!! Now, Keisha is clearly the smarter one as she is the MAVS fan and Kevin….well….he’s a Laker’s fan. Hey, we can’t give him too much grief…at least he has GREAT taste in women….Keish, you’ll have to work on his taste in basketball teams!!

They were married at the Maple Manor Hotel in Dallas. It was a bit of a toasty day outside, but that didn’t phase our beautiful Bride. She claims she was sweating, but I never saw it. She just looked beautiful all day long. My VERY favorite thing about this couple is that they laugh A LOT! Their laugh is infectious. They clearly have a great time together. However, with the laughter, there were a few tears shed and I have to be honest…once again, this wedding photographer teared up behind the lens. When you see such a precious couple who you know share such a special love for one another, it’s hard not to share in the emotion as well. Even the minister had to wipe a tear away. But you will see in these pictures…even with the meaningful tears, the laughs never ceased!

Keisha and Kevin wanted to wait to have their first look as she walked down the aisle just before the ceremony…however, they did write a special letter to each other that they exchanged before the ceremony. We took great precautions to make sure that they couldn’t actually see each other though! And you can see from the look on Kevin’s face that he was overwhelmed when he saw her turn the corner to walk the aisle to him. This may be my favorite picture of the day.

I want to give a shout out to my good friend Jen Armstrong who drove up from Yoakum, Texas to shoot this wedding with me. She was amazing!!

Congrats Keish and Kev….Keep the laughter rolling!

Chris and Donna wed on May 15th (Sneak Peak)

I had the privilege of shooting a wedding of an old college friend!! I love doing weddings in general, but there is always something even more special about doing the wedding of someone that you know so well. The only negative thing is that this photographer has to bite back the tears sometimes. As many of you know, my favorite part of the wedding ceremony is watching the Groom’s face as the Bride walks down the aisle…well, in this case, Chris teared up…so guess what April did?? Yep…that’s right…teared up myself. Thanks Chris!!

Course it didn’t help that as Donna was coming down the aisle, she teared up as well. This was not the only time that she teared up though. During her Father/Daughter dance, you can tell it was such a sweet moment between her and her father. This dance led to a big family hug full with sentimental emotions…Yep…had to bite back tears again!

And of course at any wedding, the kids always steal part of the show. Chris and Donna do have the sweetest and cutest kiddos!

There were so many pictures to choose from…so I just had to go with a few of my favorites. Thank you for having me be a part of your special day. I love you both dearly and wish you all the happiness in the world! Congrats!!!!!

Staci and Kevin Tie the Knot on April 29th

Staci and Kevin tied the Knot on April 29th at Ashton Gardens. They wanted an intimate ceremony involving their closest friends and their sweet children. They couldn’t have picked a more perfect location for this setting. Her florals were created by Bridal Blooms with the amazing Pamm Meyers and their party was thrown by David Allen. Congrats to Staci and Kevin…here is a glimpse of your wedding day.
