April Williams Photography bio picture
  • Welcome

My name is April Williams and I am based in the North Dallas, Texas area...Go COWBOYS! Yes, I am a die-hard Cowboys fan. I have 3 wonderful children. I have had a passion for photography for most of my life and have thoroughly enjoyed it as a profession.  It has been so fulfilling to work with my clients and truly being able to Capture Today's Moments for Tomorrow's Memories.

I love being able to capture the various personalities that I am privileged to work with. My style is to capture your heart when you sit down to view your gallery. I am very relaxed on a shoot capturing not only a few posed images, but mostly candid, fun images.

I would love for you to leave me a comment as every photographer thrives on hearing about their work. Have a wonderful day and I look forward to working with you.

Paulina….Graduating HS Senior…as in NEXT WEEK!

This beautiful HS Senior will get her diploma next week. We squeezed her session in just in time! Paulina attends my favorite HS in the area. I have had the privilege of shooting several of her class mates and I will tell you that this whole group of Seniors are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the out. No, scratch that…..they are far more beautiful on the inside! A trait that each of the parents I know are very proud of.  It has been so much fun meeting and getting to know these guys and gals. I am excited to be able to follow their journeys as they embark upon a new chapter in their lives in the coming months.

Paulina plays tennis and I believe came in 2nd at state this year. Along with tennis, she also does quite a bit of modeling…like that’s not obvious! She is a natural in front of the camera. But what I loved about her is that she is very down to earth and appears to be true to who she is.

We were accompanied by her mom and her Aunt on this shoot. They were so much fun making sure that Paulina’s hair and makeup were intact the whole time. Not to mention, we shared a ton of laughs together.

Congrats Paulina on completing a very important chapter of your life with such grace! Best of luck next week in graduating. Have a GREAT summer before heading off to college. God bless!!

Chris & Donna E-Session

It has been a really long time since I have blogged sessions, weddings, and well just in general! Time to get back on the band wagon here.

Here you meet Chris and Donna who are due to be married next month! Chris and I went to college together…just a few short years ago since we are really not that old!;-)Having been good friends with Chris, I would have originally said that Donna walked away lucky ending up with Chris…but after meeting her, I clearly see that he is the lucky one! I couldn’t be happier for them both. We had a great time on the shoot….despite the fact that it was super hot and even more windy. But we all know that you just don’t know what you are going to get in Texas when it comes to the weather.

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next month. I wish them a lifetime of happiness and more laughter…they both deserve it! Love you guys.

10th Annual Off the Field NFL Players’ Wives Awards Banquet & Fashion Show

It may have been the worst weather day we have had so far this year…well, maybe for several years if we are being honest. However, on Friday, February 4th, I found myself out on the roads first thing in the morning traveling to the 10th Annual Off the Field NFL Players’ Wives Awards Banquet & Fashion Show with Astounding Sounds. The event took place at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. There was a silent auction and a live auction, a fashion show featuring Abi Ferren designs all to raise money for St. Jude’s Hospital. It was truly awesome being a part of an event raising money for such a wonderful cause!

Here are just a few pictures from the fashion show…but mainly pictures of the amazing job that Astounding Sounds did with the stage and lighting! You guys rock!!

Haley + Denys = August 6th

I can’t begin to tell you how much fun I had with Haley and Denys on Sunday. When Haley and I set up the session, she was a bit worried about what the weather would be like. I assured her that we live in Texas and it will be great weather in January…and there was nothing to worry about. Well, I must say that we had good timing because the Sunday before, it was chilly and I believe rainy…and then this week…well, if you live in the Dallas or surrounding areas, you know that the temps have dropped to the teens and we are all iced in! I haven’t left my house in 3 days and we are home bound tomorrow as well. However, on Sunday, the weather was gorgeous especially for a photoshoot. Crazy Texas weather. I’m just glad that the weather didn’t prove me a liar this week!

Haley and Denys have been dating for 4 years. You can tell they have a sweet chemistry with each other and genuinely enjoy being around each other. His proposal was filled with candles and rose petals! As you can tell from the pictures, we had a lot of laughs. Denys is a soccer coach and Haley is an esthetician. I am looking forward to their wedding in August as I know that we are going to have a GREAT time!

Katie….Senior 2011

Last week, I photographed this precious High School Senior Katie. Katie loves to play softball, play the guitar and listen to music. She has played the guitar for several years and looks like she would be a natural. We took her pictures outside of her beautiful church. I love that she wanted to do her pictures there as church has played a huge part in her life. This made her session even more special being at the place that has shaped her and molded her heart into the beautiful young lady that she is.

She was a joy to photograph. She has a sweet temperament just like her mom. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Thank you for letting me share this special moment with you.
